washing day...

God I love...
being on holidays. I don't even have to be on a holiday to enjoy holidays. Just being at home is enough. Even hanging out the washing is enjoyable. Yes. That is my washing in the photo. This morning I realised just how much I love hanging out the washing in my new house because as I look up to peg the clothes I can see sky. Blue sky. At my last house the washing line was under some horrible tin roof extension that came off the side of the garage. The clothes took forever to dry under there. Not so here. They are out in the sun and spinning round and round in the wind on a good ole Aussie Hills Hoist. Of course, now there is the rain to worry about.

I went down...
Main street this arvo because I planned to drop into the Origin Energy shop to discuss having an air conditioner fitted ASAP (like before Sunday if possible!). Origin have an offer going where you pay 5% upfront then pay the rest off monthly over 2 years. Even though I have the money outright I figure its better sitting in my bank earning interest for 2 years as I slowly pay off the air con. Sadly for me I don't get to Main street often and the Origin shop was gone! No matter, I've ordered it online. Their site says current wait time until installation is 2 weeks. Methinks that's a big fat lie. If I have an air con within 2 weeks I will grown feathers and sit in my chicken shed for a day.

Whilst down at...
Main street I decided to walk the entire street. My local main strip shopping centre has a hell of a lot of character and plenty of hidden gems of one off shops. As I got near the end of the street I saw a little clothes shop that has been there forever. I decided for the first time in 23 years I was going in. Surprisingly it wasn't a clothing shop for little old ladies as I had always suspected and the proprietor was friendly and welcoming and spoke to me with the familiarity of age old friends. I didn't find anything suitable today but just thinking about her easy manner makes me definitely want to go back there. Now that's customer service.
