4 day weekend...

I'm on day...
1 of a 4 day weekend! How spectacular is that? Today being Australia Day and with tomorrow being Friday I decided to take an annual leave day to maximise my chill out time. So I'm getting the housework and washing and all those boring bits out of the way today today so I don't have to think about them for the rest of the weekend. So much easier to relax when you don't keep thinking "oh I must do this" or "bloody hell I still haven't done that". Housework sucks but I do love a neat and tidy house. Can't relax with it being messy.

Later today I'm...
going with Mrs X-Neighbour to see The Descendants then maybe a bite to eat afterwards.  I've never been a huge fan of Clooney [can't see what the fuss is about - give me Ben Affleck any day] but I've heard the movie is pretty good. The goal for my 4 day weekend is to get out and about and spend time at home relaxing and not waste a minute stewing over Teen•M or the circus that has become my workplace. [Our department executive manager is the biggest twat on planet]

Tomorrow I've got...
my car booked in to have a new CD player fitted after mine died at age 6! I would have expected it to last much longer. Then when I rang the dealer I was told a brand new one was over $600! No thank you. My dashboard is curved when makes it difficult to just go and get any old brand fitted. I'm told it can be done but who wants to risk that? Instead I'm going for a reconditioned one for $150. It still comes with a 1 year warranty so I'll take the risk. I want to begin playing my Learn to Speak French CD to and from work so I can at least pretend I tried to learn. I've heard the French don't like it when tourists don't even attempt to communicate with them in their native tongue. I will mostly turn out to be biggest French speaking bogan this side of the equator but at least I tried!

oh I am SO jealous of you! I'm back in the office tomorrow for a FULL-ON day. Sigh!
That said, I've rebelled against my "I really should do XYZ" around the house and I'm currently baking a sponge cake :)
